Jonathan Peyper originates from a town called Nelspruit, where he grew up and played in bands with older members. In 2007 he was invited to perform with Dan Patlansky where Jonathan’s love and passion for the Blues came to life.
In 2009 he moved to Pretoria where he studied music for 2 years at Campus Of Performing Arts. In 2012, Jorik Pienaar from Not My Dog, encouraged Jonathan to start his own Blues Rock band. In 2014, Jonathan released his self-titled debut album, which hit the internationally renowned, Blues Rock Review association. His album received the same rating as Joe Bonamassa’s album to be nominated for a top 20 spot, worldwide.
Jonathan has toured across the country with his music and he has shared the stages at festivals with the likes of, Dan Patlansky, Albert Frost, Richard Pryor, Nathan Smith, Francois van Coke, Bok van Blerk, Jan Blohm, Dozi, Elvis Blues and many more. He has been a support act for many of the big blues rock names as well as major Afrikaans artists in the country.
In 2018, he is currently busy recording his second album, which Dan Patlansky will be producing.
